SENIORS' WEEKThe next facilitation meeting for Seniors' Week will be held at the Senior Citizens' Centre on Monday May 9th 11.00am to 12.30pm. Seniors' Week will be celebrated in August from 20-28. The Ecumenical Service this year will be at St. Stephens Uniting Church on Friday 26th and will be followed by a delicious morning tea in the church hall. |

"Happy Mothers Day" Means More"Happy Mother's Day" means more It means I love you first of all, But most of all, I guess it means TIARO COMMUNITY CENTRE will honour Mothers' Day with a competition featuring colouring in and writing a letter for school children who are residents of the Tiaro Shire. Entry forms available at Tiaro Shire Council Office and at schools. If you are travelling the Bruce Highway on Saturday May 7 look out for the Mothers' Day Bazaar and street stall at Tiaro. The next round of Community Progress meetings is about to begin with Maryborough groups meeting at the Bauer Wiles Centre, 167 Neptune Street on 8th April, 10am to 12.00 noon. Come along and let us know what your area is doing and pass on any innovative ideas. Sue Jones will be in the chair and she is looking forward to making contact with the community groups.
Jim and Maria are being sadly missed. Their loyal contribution to the club has extended over many years and their departure to Toowoomba has left a space that is proving very difficult to fill. As usually happens, it is only when such stalwarts of a club are unable to continue their gift of time and skills that their time and skills are truly appreciated.
A volunteer bus driver for the Fairhaven Bus to bring clients to and from the Excelsior Club on a Wednesday is urgently needed. Please pass this message on to anyone you know who may be interested.

Classes begin in the Tiaro Memorial Hall on Tuesday 5th April 8.30 to 9.30am. Classes are part of the Stay on Your Feet programme and are provided free. For further information phone Tiaro Community Centre President Don 4193 9348. All welcome. Tai Chi participants can stay on for the regular morning tea and chat which will follow the class.
Maryborough City Hall 9.00am to 2.30pm. Thursday 28th April. Our Place will be catering for the tea, coffee and biscuits clients. The staff that day will be the Red Cross volunteers so pop in and see them after you have visited the EXPO to find out about the many services available in Maryborough.
